Polyclonal Antibodies
A starting foundation
Virtually all custom antibodies start as polyclonals. This typically constitutes injection with an antigen, then measuring, collecting, and optimizing the response against that antigen. For many projects this may even be all you need! Regardless of the end goal, it’s important to have the expertise to handle the great variety of situations that can arise. For us, everything starts with what we call The Core.

- Design and production of antigen as needed
- Injection of selected species of animal
- Serum collection and evaluation by ELISA
- Delivery of serum
- Affinity purification with antigen (optional)

Flexibility is Key
Using more or less animals than listed above is available for every project type, but likely the best advantage about polyclonal production is being able to continuously boost and collect/purify materials on open ended projects as long as the animals remain healthy. This allows larger scales to be attained or shifts in strategy as the results demand.
